From the early years of my life, I wanted to get involved in motorsports but the cost of buying a go-cart and the lack of motorsport infrastructure in our country made it impossible.
My first computer was Amiga 500 that had many beautiful games but with a lot of disks!
After some years when I had ps2 and Xbox I was playing with a gamepad, since the wheels were lacking features like ffb, and games such as Pro Evolution Soccer, Gran Turismo, Colin McRae, F1 and some FPS occupied the entire playing time. When I got my gaming laptop I had the need of something more close to the real thing. Some MMORPG and some sim racing but nothing thrilling.
Analog gamepad was not enough so I had to buy my first racing wheel. After all these years I had many affordable options that also had good specs. A Thrustmaster T500RS was a good choice but then I was not satisfied by the racing titles that I was playing. The only option that was left was iRacing. It was the only sim racing game that I hadn't tried. The first impression was good and I was happy with the combination.
I had the feeling of something real from the feedback from the wheel along with the sound and the visuals. WOW.
That was wonderful but I had to find others that had the same love for the sims like I did. It was a very competitive environment with very strong opponents and I needed any possible help. I found Hellenic Racing. The guys are experienced both in sim and in real life racing, and they make you feel welcome. Having fun with politeness, patience, progress and willingness to help are very good reasons to belong to a team.
Except gaming, I have also tried some sports. First it was basketball and football (soccer for the US people). Then some track sports, boxing, kickboxing, pankration, scuba, surfing and then windsurfing, wing-tsun and tai-chi.
Enough with the words... let's go for a powerslide.
