It was a wonderful racing weekend for Hellenic Racing after a series of dominant wins.
A good beginning makes a good ending. On Saturday morning, Hellenic Racing Silver started from pole position on the demanding circuit of Interlagos for the iRacing Endurance Le Mans Series. The first couple of laps were smooth and safe and by managing the race pace for the whole 6-hour duration of the race, we were the first to see the chequered flag. Having the fastest lap of the race too was the icing on the cake!
Saturday's afternoon race and the play is one and the same, showing that the morning's result was not just luck. With more competition and a full grid for GTE, Hellenic Racing takes the win again and the fastest lap of the race.
Sunday afternoon and we participate in the race with two teams. Hellenic Racing Blue & Silver qualified 1st & 2nd on the grid respectively. Both teams controlled the race from the beginning and they utilized the speed of the cars to the maximum. Although we had some minor incidents that cost us some time we managed to finish in the top two positions. Once more, Hellenic Racing Blue had the fastest lap of the race, highlighting the quality of the team.
Congratulations to all the drivers that rotated behind the wheel. Mentioned below without any particular order: Giannis Chourdakis – Bill Kazantzas – Andreas Arvanitantonis – Dimitrios Houdeloudis – Nick Koudourakis – Andy Perrs.
On Saturday evening, Andy Perrs – Nick Koudourakis, borrowed by Simcore Racing, starting from 4th didn't gain any places. Unfortunately they couldn't claim the second place, that was within reach, due to some shady driving manouvers from a following car.
