The weekend of 23-24 of February, the challenge was called Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans. Three 6-hour races were waiting to test our strength and our nerves.
In the early Saturday race, Andy Perrs – Dimitrios Houdeloudis lined up in the 3rd place of the starting grid for Hellenic Racing Silver. A position which they kept and defended successfully, despite a crescendo of errors that deprived them of a better result within their capabilities.
However, the Saturday night among a stronger pool of competitors, the same drivers started from the 12th place and by delivering the maximum both on driving performance and on strategic level, they finally managed to ensure a 4th place finish. In the Sunday race, representing Simcore this time around, the team found itself again into podium trajectory, until a snap of the rear around the 3-hour mark caused an off-track collision. The long repair-times in combination with the permanent damage of the car led to the decision of withdrawal from the race.
